Research, conducted in the Center, is based on the ideas of the Cultural-Historical Theory and Activity Approach. These theoretical frameworks are applied to analyze development, education and socialization of contemporary children and adolescents.
Research projects, conducted on the basis of the Center, focus on:
- the role of new means that mediate children's activities (games and toys, digital media including apps, VR technologies, social networks etc.);
- shifting social and psychological norms (at what age a child should be able to do what);
- transformation of social institutions (“school of the future”, non-formal education that combines both play and learning);
- inclusion (children with special educational needs, migrants).
All projects are interdisciplinary and bring together specialists in various scientific fields, including psychologists, educators, sociologists, IT specialists and policy makers.
In its work, the Center complies with the legal norms and ethical principles of conducting psychological, educational and sociological research. Research is carried in line with the research experience of the Faculty of Counseling and Clinical Psychology, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Information Technologies, the Faculty of Legal Psychology and other structural units of Moscow State University of Psychology and Education.
The Center invites students, undergraduates and postgraduates for cooperation. For taking part in current projects, proposing your own research design or other forms of scientific collaboration, please contact us via e-mail email@example.com
